LASU Grooms Graduates For Generational Leadership, Says Tunji-Bello

Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji -Bello, the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU) has declared the institution as a grooming institution not only for academic excellence but also for its products to become generational leaders.

She made the declaration in her welcome address to the crop of 1,412 matriculating students into the 2021 Sandwich Degree Programme of the institution on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Assuring the matriculants of qualitative education, the professor of Physiology endeared the new students to LASU as a student-centred university whose products are groomed to become generational leaders.

In the address delivered on her behalf by Prof. Adenike Boyo, the DVC Administration, the Vice-Chancellor warned the greenhorns, however, that though a university is a place of freedom, at LASU, such freedom comes with equivalent obligations and boundaries.

“We take pride in training students for life. We are focused on the character development of our students”. She tutored.
