Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has condemned the terrorists’ attack on Geidam community and called for more prayers for a lasting peace in the state and the country at large.

Buni, in a statement on Thursday through his Spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, described the attack as heinous, especially in this holy month of Ramadan when Muslim faithful seek the mercy of Allah against engaging in obnoxious acts.

The governor further commended security agencies for their resilience, assuring more synergy between government and the security agencies to curb crime in the state.

Buni also urged the people in the state to always volunteer useful and timely information to security operatives to enhance proactive measures.

“We should also use the opportunity provided by the holy month of Ramadan to pray for our state and the country,” the statement added.
