The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) yesterday said it had cancelled today’s sit-at-home in the Southeast following the postponement of the trial of its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu was scheduled to resume his trial today before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

But court officials informed parties to the case that the court had vacated the May 26 date and rescheduled proceedings for June 28, 2022. IPOB’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, disclosed in a statement that the adjournment was the result of Justice Nyako being indisposed.
