Anne Heche has not emerged from her coma and has severe lung damage following a fiery car crash last week, it has been confirmed.
The American actress, 53, was rushed to hospital after a car sped through residential streets and smashed into a two-storey home in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles, California on Friday, before bursting into flames.
Heche, who was reportedly owns a blue Mini Cooper, was tended to at the scene by paramedics before being stretchered into an ambulance and taken to hospital.
It was previously reported that the actress, best known for roles in soap opera Another World and the films Donnie Brasco and Volcano, was intubated, which is when a person has a tube fitted through their nose or mouth.
