Tony Elumelu led Transcorp Hotels Plc is planning to spread its tentacles to the country’s commercial nerve centre, Lagos and has begun planning to build a five-star hotel in the upmarket Ikoyi neighbourhood of the state. The facility, a 300-room hotel towering 20 storeys, will also feature a 21-storeyed office block, with construction estimated to cost $110 million. In addition, the suave businessman is already putting finishing touches to replicate the Eko Hotel Convention Centre in the Federal Capital Territory.
