The Supreme Court is set to hear the case of Governor Ademola Adeleke and Adegboyega Oyetola over the duly elected governor and winner of the Osun gubernatorial election of July 16, 2022, today.

DAILY POST recalls that Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Challenging the victory at a tribunal led by Justice Tertse Kume-led, which sat in Osogbo, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was pronounced duly elected governor against the declaration of INEC.

But the Appeal Court, in a judgment by Justice Mohammed Shaibu on March 24, 2023, declared Adeleke returned as the authentic winner.

DAILY POST gathered that the apex court would on Monday hear the appeal filed by Oyetola against the victory of Adeleke.
