The 36 women leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have passed a vote of confidence on the party’s national women leader, Dr. Betta Edu and her deputy stating that Nigeria can testify that her leadership is exceptional and inclusive.
The women passed the vote of confidence after their visit to President Bola Tinubu.
The meeting had in attendance all state women leaders except one person who was represented.
A statement signed by Comrade Victoria Uko, Special Adviser to the National Women Leader, said other women groups, including the zonal and female NEC members in APC, will have their turn, stating that everyone cannot go at once.
“We understand your desire and anxiety to meet with the President and we assure you that the President will also be very happy to meet with you all. He runs an open-door policy.
However these engagements will happen in batches, and more women will be involved.
