In a bold move, the Nigerian Senate has declared war on saboteurs within the petroleum sector, threatening to expose those responsible for importing substandard fuel into the country. This aggressive stance was made clear during a press conference held by the ‘Senate Ad-Hoc Committee to Investigate the Alleged Economic Sabotage in the Nigerian Petroleum Industry,’ chaired by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Majority Leader.
Bamidele, flanked by all members of the committee, read a prepared statement that sent a strong message of accountability and transparency within the petroleum industry.
