The House of Representatives has threatened to call for the dismissal of Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), if he continues to impede the operations of the Dangote Refinery.

Deputy Spokesman Philip Agbese revealed this on Saturday during a press briefing in Abuja. This announcement follows the legislative body’s prior support for the dismissal of Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

Agbese, a member of the All Progressives Congress, accused the NNPCL and NMDPRA of actively working against the Dangote Refinery. He noted, “We have observed numerous demarketing campaigns aimed at discrediting the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, causing unnecessary panic in the country.”
