French footballer, Anthony Martial has completed his move to the Greek football club, AEK Athens after the expiration of his contract with Manchester United on June 30, 2024
Martial is set to arrive in Greece today, September 18, 2024, for his official unveiling. AEK Athens officially announced the signing of the French player through a post on their social media platforms.
The post from the club reads: “The Magician is coming!!! ⚫️ Meeting at the airport!!! ✈️ Arrival: Anthony Martial Time: 20:40 Location: El. Venizelos airport Meeting point: Exit 7”
Despite the transfer window in Greece closing on September 11, 2024, Martial was able to join the club as a free agent, allowing him to make the move outside the transfer window.
Martial is the latest addition to AEK Athens, with the club making a total of 11 signings this summer, including players like Aboubakary Koita, Frantzdy Pierrot, Moses Odubajo, and Alexander Callens.
The former Manchester United forward has signed a three-year contract with AEK Athens, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.
