Clark asks Buhari to release Kanu, knocks Malami

Elder statesman and leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum, Edwin Clark, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to order the release of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, in line with the court’s judgement.

The PUNCH had reported that the National Security Council stated that it backed the position of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, over the Appeal Court judgment on Kanu, which debunked his complete acquittal.

In a statement on Monday, Clark also faulted Malami, whom he said had abandoned part of his job and involved in what he described as “executive rascality,” to the dismay of patriotic citizens.
