The Zamfara state governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has accused Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of masterminding his removal from the list of the just concluded national honours award by president Muhammadu Buhari.
He made the assertion while fielding questions from newsmen in Gusau Sunday.
According to him, he was selected by the National award committee set-up by President Buhari based on merit but a day to the occasion, only to hear that his name was missing out of the lists.
According to him, he has passed all the security and the national award committee’s screening on the matter.
“I was served with notification letter from the committee and responded promptly to the invitation but unfortunately, a day before the occasion only to hear my name disappeared from the shortlisted national awardees,” he added.
