Attack on Ugochiyere: Declare State of emergency in Imo if insecurity persists – PDP tells Buhari


The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Wednesday drew the attention of Nigerians to the worsening insecurity in the state, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency in the state if the insecurity persists.

PDP also called on the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police and the Director–General of the Department of State Security to review the entire security architecture and security personnel deployed to Imo State to tackle the festering insecurity in the state.

The opposition party said this in a statement signed by the party Chairman, Charles Ugwuh and made available to DAILY POST in Owerri, Imo State capital

The statement reads,” It is indeed regrettable that over these past years, our advice to the State Government to evolve a creative solution to the insecurity in the State has gone unheeded.
