White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled by a reporter Wednesday for not answering a question about President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal.
Wednesday’s press briefing comes as Jean-Pierre has repeatedly refused to answer questions about the investigation and has instead claimed that the administration will not comment on an active investigation or has directed reporters to talk to the Department of Justice or White House special counsel’s office.
“I want to reference an interview that President Biden did in mid-September with ’60 Minutes,’” the reporter said. “And in that interview, he chided former President Trump for having in his possession, classified documents. He called it irresponsible.”
“First of all, do you think it was proper for President Biden to comment on an ongoing DOJ investigation?” the reporter asked.
