The coach of Kicker Football Club, a non-league club side based in Abuja, Dare Adesomo, has said that a number of untapped football talents are in Nigeria.
Adesomo, who is also the owner of the club, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Sunday.
He said there were a good number of talented footballers around the country who did not have the opportunity to showcase their talents to the world.
The coach called on members of the public and individuals to encourage young unexposed footballers to develop the sector in the country.
“We started tracing young talents in football in 2022 based on our vision and from there we saw that there were some youths who could play football with proper grooming.
“We have noticed that there are a good number of them who needed just exposure and encouragement, in Nigeria, we have talents, and talents without exposure will amount to nothing,” he said.
