A group of indigenes of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, under the auspices of Ibadan Mega Voice (IMV) has enjoined the Federal Government not to waste time in evacuating stranded Nigerians in Sudan.
The group made this disclosure at the end of its monthly meeting in Ibadan on Monday.
Sudan has been embroiled in conflict since April 15.
Some Nigerians who live in the country are currently stranded.
IMV President, Kola Olomide, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, asserted that the excuses given by the federal government over its failure to evacuate Nigerians trapped in Sudan are unacceptable.
Olomide while speaking further insisted that the fate of Nigerians trapped in Sudan is very important to the association.
He said: “This is a call to the Federal government to seek means to evacuate over 4,000 Nigerian students stranded in Sudan.
“The Committee on Diaspora is concerned and we are very uncomfortable with the excuses from concerned agencies.
