MLB Pitcher Calls For Boycott Of Dodgers
In response to the L.A. Dodgers choosing to honor the drag group “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” at an upcoming Pride event, a pitcher on the Washington Nationals is speaking out. Trevor Williams, a Catholic, tweeted that he was “deeply troubled” by the California team’s decision to celebrate a group that parodies Catholicism and openly mocks the Christian faith. In a statement on social media, Williams said, “To invite a group that makes a blatant and deeply offensive mockery of my religion and the religion of over 4 million people in LA county alone, undermines the values of respect and inclusivity that should be upheld by any organization.”
