Group seeks improved functional health sector in Nigeria

A group under the aegis of, Connected Development (CODE), has sensitised some stakeholders on agenda setting towards a functional and improved healthcare sector across states in the North-Central geo-political zone of the country.

Speaking at the event in Jos, Mr Muazu Modu, the Country Director of Follow the Money, an Initiative of CODE, said the event is tagged ” Community Townhall in North-Central: Setting Agenda for the Healthcare in Nigeria”.

He explained that the event was part of its project ”Covid-19 Transparency and Accountability in Africa (CTAD)”, co-implemented by CODE and BugiT Foundation.

Explaining that the meeting is aimed at creating avenues for citizens to contribute toward improving the health sector particularly primary healthcare in Nigeria, he said, ”Our primary healthcare sector in Nigeria is in a bad state and there is a need to improve it.
