JUST IN: 27 women, four boys allegedly kidnapped in Southern Kaduna

No fewer than 27 women and four boys were alleged to have been abducted in southern Kaduna.

The women’s wing of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, who stated this on Monday in a statement,  urged the authorities concerned to do something to rescue the abductees unhurt.

The National Women Coordinator, SOPAPU, Mrs Jemutu Katarma, said the incident occurred on October 2, 2023, noting that the abductees were still in the hands of the kidnappers.

The statement also stated that hundreds of villages in southern Kaduna have been sacked and some taken over by bandits while many people have been rendered homeless.

According to Katarma, out of these 12 Local Government Areas in southern Kaduna, only about three of them have not suffered violence and crimes from armed groups, especially bandits and armed herdsmen, as thousands have been killed, houses burnt and hundreds have been kidnapped.
