BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints New ICPC Chairman, Secretary

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu as the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, made this known in a statement on Tuesday and made available to Naija News.

He said the President appointed Aliyu based on the powers conferred on him as established in Section 3(6) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.

Ngelale added that the appointment is in furtherance of the Renewed Hope mandate to reform key institutions and invigorate Nigeria’s war on corruption.

The presidential spokesman also revealed that the appointment of Aliyu is pending Senate confirmation.
