The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the election of Abdullah Sule as the duly elected governor of Nasarawa State.
The Appellate court set aside the judgment of the governorship election petitions tribunal that had earlier sacked him for not winning the majority of votes cast.
Delivering Judgment, the three member panel held that the Nasarawa State Election Petition Tribunal erred in law in concluding that Sule did not win majority of the votes cast in the election.
The appellate court subsequently set aside the judgment of the tribunal and affirmed the reelection of Sule as Governor of Nasarawa State.
