Many students of the University of Ilorin sustained varying degrees of injury in a lone auto accident along the University road on Thursday evening.
TVC NEWS gathered that the accident, which involved a small commercial bus, popularly called “Korope”, was as a result of a tyre burst while the bus was in motion.
It was also gathered that the auto crash, which occurred close to the university gate, saw some of the university security officials trying to manage the situation.
An eyewitness said that one of the victims of the accident lost her arm, while another female victim was said to appear lifeless on the road.
The director, Corporate Affairs of the university, Mr. Kunle Akogun, who confirmed the story, however, said that there was no casualty.
He said that those involved in the accident were being treated in the school clinic while those in critical conditions were referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
