The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, is mourning the loss of yet another talented actor. Veteran Nollywood star, Emmanuel France, who was celebrated for his roles in films such as Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director, has passed away.
The death of the actor was confirmed through Nigerian filmmaker, Femi Ogedengbe, in a post on his Instagram page on Monday, expressing sadness and recalling their fond memories together.
He wrote, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France.
“One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director. R.I.P.”
As of the time of this report, the cause of France’s death remains unconfirmed.
France’s death comes a few days after Nollywood actor, Big Larry passed away.
