Makinde commissions legacy projects by GCIOBA’s 84th set

Governor Seyi Makinde has commissioned legacy projects completed by the 84th Set of the Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association (GCIOBA).

The projects, which were part of the activities marking the 40th reunion anniversary of the set, include the renovation of the school building and the development of an adjoining quadrangle for students’ recreation.

Other contributions include the donation of equipment and various textbooks to the school’s library, as well as the purchase of 40 school uniforms for indigent students.

Additionally, the set purchased 40 WAEC forms and 40 JAMB forms for students of the school.

The governor, while commending the GCIOBA 84th Set for the laudable projects, charged alumni to always contribute to their alma mater.

He said the government alone can not carry the burden of education, hence collaboration from individuals, cooperate bodies and non governmental organisations.
