PSG refuse to pay Mbappé €55m despite losing appeal

Paris Saint-Germain remains defiant in withholding €55 million owed to Kylian Mbappé despite losing an appeal.

A report on Friday by Goal noted that the French league’s appeals commission ruled against the club, ordering them to pay the amount.

However, PSG has stated their intention to contest the decision in court.

A PSG spokesperson told RMC Sport, “Now that the appeals committee has confirmed the opinion of the legal committee, PSG has decided to take the case to the appropriate courts while continuing to try to find an amicable solution with the player.”

The club insists it owes its former striker nothing, claiming Mbappé waived the payment after agreeing to rejoin the first-team squad last season. However, Mbappé, who transferred to Real Madrid this summer, is seeking the full amount and has rejected any offers of mediation.
