‘I am sure’: Ten Hag believes Rashford can improve his form if he follows the example of two Man United players

VIA TRIBUNA:

This season Marcus Rashford has a lot of troubles in Manchester United. Recently, he got benched for the 2-1 win against Chelsea after lots of criticism for his play in the loss to Newcastle.

Erik ten Hag supports his player and wants Marcus Rashford to follow Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay’s example as he tries to get back into Man United’s lineup.

Quoted by Manchester Evenings, Ten Hag said: “So Rashford is an incredible, good player. You can’t do it with 11 players, he can’t play every game, he’s not in this moment in the form he was last year but I am sure he will get there.”

“What I said about Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire: up to them. The team will always line themselves up and the best players who form the best team will play.”

You can clearly see Rashford’s decline in stats. This season the player scored just 2 goals in 19 games and made 4 assists. Perhaps, it is just a bad period in his career and he can improve his work ethic. He has a good example of Harry Maguire who improved a lot and is now one of the best players in the team.
