The PUNCH: The reconciliation efforts in the Peoples Democratic Party may suffer a delay as the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, whose emergence and choice of running mate has caused disagreements among some party chieftains, has travelled to the United States.


The Guardian: Barring a quick intervention from the Federal Government, air travellers, and the industry could be jolted in the days ahead as the unrepatriated funds for foreign airlines accruing from sales of flight tickets in local currencies hit the $600m mark at the end of June.


The Nation: The planned defection by 15 All Progressives Congress (APC) senators to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have hit a brick wall. The would be defectors have been warned by the APC that they risk losing their seats if they carry out their threat.


The SUN: Ahead of the 2023 general elections, tension is mounting in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as  controversies have continued to trail the nomination of Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as the party’s vice presidential candidate.
