The PUNCH: The All Progressives Congress on Thursday slammed the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, for criticising the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which upheld President Bola Tinubu’s election and the electoral process. This happened as Atiku and Obi attacked the Independent National Electoral Commission over its conduct of the polls.


The Guardian: As governments across states roll out bullet points of ‘achievements’ to mark the first 100 days in office, citizens are left with little or nothing to cheer as they hustle their way out of the biting socio-economic realities. Apparently to douse the tension, the Federal Government had rolled out a palliative plan, with N2 billion already disbursed to each state government.


The Nation: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, yesterday explained why they rejected the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Atiku described the judgment as bereft of justice.


Daily Trust: The Defence Headquarters says troops of the armed forces of Nigeria have in the last three months, killed 817 terrorists, apprehended 1,326 criminals and rescued 721 hostages in different operations across the country. The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, made this known while briefing newsmen on military operations across the country on Thursday in Abuja.
