1.The Senate witnessed a dramatic turn of events on Tuesday as Senator Abdul Ningi was suspended for three months due to his false claims regarding untraceable projects worth N3.7 trillion in the 2024 budget. Additionally, Senator Kawu Sumaila (NNPP – Kano South) received a warning against disseminating false information that could disrupt the Senate’s operations.

2. President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Dayo Mobereola as the new Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Mobereola’s appointment, which is renewable for four years, follows the departure of former Director General Mr. Bashir Jamoh, whose tenure recently concluded.
