APM’s re-elected national chair pledges victory for party in 2023

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) on Sunday re-elected Yusuf Dantalle as its national chairman for a second term of four years after the party’s delegates approved his aspiration through a consensus.

About 128 statutory delegates attended the national convention, where the decision was taken to re-elect him for another four-year term.

In his acceptance speech, Dantalle, who appreciated his party members for the confidence reposed in him, said his victory will serve as an opportunity to lead the party to victory in the various elective offices in which APM fielded candidates in the 2023 general election, including office of the president.

He said it was the 2nd national convention of the party, in which new national officers emerged in accordance with the party constitution registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
