That special guests from across Nigeria and beyond graced the 53rd birthday Thanksgiving Service in honour of the Shepherd of the International Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ, Venerable Superior Evangelist Olatosho Oshoffa, on Sunday, January 22, 2022 is stating the obvious.
But, unlike other special guests,members of his immediately family, friends and workers who spoke in glowing terms about his character, one man stood out. He is the Ooni of Ife, Oba Eniitan Ogunwusi. Beyond extolling the virtues of the shepherd, he jokingly professed his love for the cleric, citing his attractive physical qualities; something that sparked an eruption of laughter from the congregation.
According to the First Class monarch, Oshoffa is so handsome that he would not mind taking him along with him to Ile Ife, Osun State. His words: “He’s very lovable, handsome and well -built. I love him very much. I wish to take him to Ife. It’s just that he can’t be married. God created him well.”
He, however, expressed delight at the warm reception he got from the congregation, pledging to pay more visits to the church.
Among dignitaries present at the event were Most Superior Evangelist M. Also who stood in for the Pastor and Head of the Celestial Church, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Lagos State Chapter, Rt. Rev. STV Adegbite, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun Stat,Chief Ladi Adebutu, the Onimeko of Imeko, Oba Benjamin Olanite and the Director General of the Sanwo-Olu Campaign, Senator Ganiu Solomon.
