Abiodun Oluwadare, a Christ Apostolic Church pastor in Ẹkiti State, has been  arrested for allegedly killing his wife, Rifnote has learnt.

Although Rifnote could not independently verify claims on why Oluwadare allegedly killed his wife,Adeyemi Oluwadare, as of the time of filing this report, sources familiar with the matter said he allegedly strangled his wife, whò was said to be eight months pregnant to death, in his house for ritual purposes.

Expressing its frustration, the family of the deceased, in a statement, called on the police to expedite action ọn the matter . The statement read partly read:”The case has been reported to the police and the security agents have been in his house several times for investigation. The case has been transferred to the SIB department in Ado Ekiti but the families(sic)of the wife still don’t understand the process as nothing has been done regarding the matter after the man had confessed that truly he did it.

“The police said it was the right of the government to file against the suspect but up till now nothing was done concerning the case. While the OLUWADARE family was making mouths(sic) from the community that their son would come back home safely, no human feelings at all.”

Meanwhile, in a chat with Rifnote, an elder brother to the deceased,Ola Ibironke, reasoned that the said confessional statement by the suspect was not enough, noting that an autopsy would be done in a matter of days.

“With this autopsy, justice is assured. You know someone can make a confessional statement today, and tomorrow, he would say he never said so,” he added.
