India wants to help bring peace to Ukraine – Modi — RT India

New Delhi is ready to contribute in every possible way to end the conflict, the Indian leader has told Vladimir Putin

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine cannot be resolved on the battlefield and should be settled through diplomacy, and New Delhi is ready to contribute to such efforts, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

India is in “regular contacts” with Russia over the conflict, Modi noted as the leaders held bilateral talks in Kazan on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.

“As I have said before, we believe that problems should be resolved peacefully, and we fully support the earliest possible establishment of peace and stability,” the prime minister said.
