A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from Abia State, Chief Sam Nkire has explained why he is in support of the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, as against a president from the south east region.
In a statement he made available to LEADERSHIP on Abuja yesterday, Nkire stated that after watching the body languages of the two leading political parties in the country, he came to the conclusion that none would give the presidential ticket to the Southeast in the next election.
He, however, restated his belief in the South-East presidential project, adding that the route to South-east presidency might be long, even though it’s a sure way.
