An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant to represent FCT residents in the Senate, Mrs Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi, on Friday, said her aim of seeking election into the National Assembly was to usher in the change that both the natives and settlers in the federal capital territory (FCT) deserved.
In an interview with journalists at the weekend, Benjamins-Laniyi said through proper legislation, she would protect the interest of not only women but the generality of natives and settlers of the FCT.
She pledged to be in constant touch with her constituents to have ‘first-hand knowledge of what matters to them’.
“With proper legislation, there will be proper delivery and management of citizens’ expectations and policies alike. My decisions and proposals in the chamber will originate from my vigorous consultations with the electorate. They own the power.
