Governor Ishaku’s quest for improvement of IGR in Taraba

Seven years ago, Taraba state Internal Generated Revenue IGR which basically control by the state civil servants under the state board of international revenue was was far less than N300 million.

Leakages, laxity, corruption, lark of train Manpower and in inadequate supervision was identified as factors mitigating the state highest body of income.

Shortly after clinching to power, in 2015, Governor Darius Ishaku of the state approached the state house of assembly for restructuring of the board of internal revenue.

An approach which change the former name of the board  from Taraba State Board of Internal Revenue to Taraba State Revenue Service, the house of assembly also restructured the constitution of the board by empowering the executive to employ digital/electronic services to monitor the inflow of taxes and other financial income of the state.
