Deji Adeyanju Speaks On Jonathan Contesting APC Presidential Primary

Political activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the plan by former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News earlier reported that the ruling party had reportedly granted the former President a waiver to contest the upcoming party’s presidential primary slated for Sunday, May 29.

Jonathan was granted the waiver after meeting with the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, at the former President’s house in Abuja last week.

The former Nigerian leader also met behind closed doors with Mamman Daura, the influential nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, at his Abuja residence.

Reacting to the development, Adeyanju said the plan by the APC to bring Jonathan into the party was a good political move by the North.

He said the move was a good strategy for the North to quickly return to power since the former President cannot spend more than a term.
