APC Primary: Tunde Bakare polls zero votes after boasting of becoming Nigeria’s 16th President

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Mr Tinubu is leading in the exercise after obtaining over 750 votes.

He is trailed by former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

While Mr Amaechi has obtained 143 votes, Mr Osinbajo polled 103 so far.

The winner is expected to be declared in a few hours.

Fourteen aspirants are in the race but nine had earlier withdrawn from the race, including Uju Kennedy-Ohnenye, Dr Felix Nicholas, former Gov. Godswill Akpabio, former Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker Dimeji Bankole, Sen. Ajayi Boroffice, Gov. Muhammad Badaru, Sen. Ken Nnamani and Gov. Kayode Fayemi.
