Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Tuesday forwarded the names of four nominees for appointments as Commissioners and members of the Delta State Executive Council to the State House of Assembly.
The nominees include Hon. Samuel Mariere, Hon. Sunday Onoriode, Chief Mike Ukah and Godspower Asiuwhu.
The Governor also forwarded to the House a nominee, Dr Samuel Ossai for appointment to the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC) and Mr Kelly Oghenekevwe to the board of Delta State Internal Revenue Service.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the letter sent to the state Assembly said that the appointment of the Commissioners was in line with section 192, subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
