Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu dodged a “poisonous knife” by not appointing an unnamed politician as his Chief of Staff (CoS) or Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

According to the activist, Tinubu dodged a poisonous knife through his appointments of the Secretary to the State Government (SGF) and Chief of Staff (CoS).

Tinubu, it would be recalled, had appointed former Interior Minister, George Akume as the new SGF, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila as his CoS.

However, Sani said Tinubu would have caused discord between him and Vice President Kashim Shettima if he had appointed “Mr. Over Sabi.”

Tweeting, Sani wrote: “If Tinubu had appointed ‘Mr Over Sabi’ as SGF or Chief of Staff, he would have sown the seed of discord between the President and the Vice President. He (Mr. Over Sabi) will speak and move around as more important than the two. Tinubu has dodged a Poisonous knife”, he said.

Many political analysts believe Shehu Sani’s Mr Oversabi is a veiled reference to a controverial former governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
