EDO GUBER: LP disowns Obidient Movement Group over support for APC candidate

A group of Obidient Movement members from Edo South Senatorial District have pledged their support for Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the upcoming Edo State governorship election.

The group cited Okpebholo’s close ties with the people and his ability to deliver good governance, fairness, and accountability as reasons for their support.

The Edo State chapter of the Labour Party has condemned the Obidient Movement’s support for the APC candidate, stating that it is absurd for a group that claims to be part of the Obidient Movement to support candidates from other parties.

The Labour Party has accused the Obidient Movement group of working against the party’s candidate, Olumide Akpata, and has questioned their loyalty to the party and its ideals.
