The new feature could let you know whenever you’ve been mentioned in chats you’re a part of.
What this does is make notifications more useful and easier to manage, because you’ll have a better idea of who has mentioned you or replied to you within groups.
Previously, you would get a text-only alert when someone messaged you. Now, the person’s profile photo will appear in the notification. This small tweak gives users a quick update of who’s talking to – or about – them.
