Traditionally, the Adult Harvest Harvest week in the Celestial Church of Christ across the world is marked with a flurry of activities.At the Celestial Church International Headquarters, the story was not different as the church rounded off its 43rd Adult Harvest celebration yesterday.Here are some highlights of the celebration.
NAIRA RAIN ON WIDOWS,OTHERS
At the seekers ‘ service, there was a rain of prayers from the Shepherd,Venerable Superior Evangelist Olatosho Oshoffa,on a female member of the church for giving out N1.4m to seven widows in order to give them a new lease of life.Oshoffa also announced that the harvest committee had perfected plans to give N10,000 to 50 people and N5,000 to another set of 50 people
FREE FOOD FOR ALL FOR SEVEN DAYS
Speaking with Rifnote, the Chairman of the 2023 Adult Harvest Committee,Brother Demola Bolaji, confirmed that the gate of the church was flung open to all to feed twice a day for the entire harvest week.Rif note had reported how Bolaji revealed that there was no fixed harvest levy amid fears of galloping inflation and paucity of funds in some quarters.
SAINT SBJ OSHOFFA CATHEDRAL
True to Oshoffa’s earlier announcement, the Celestial Church International Headquarters got named Sain’t SBJ Oshoffa Cathedral in addition to its present name. Also, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the.Celestial Church of Christ,Rev. Emmanuel Oshoffa, was on hand for the dedication.
CONCERT LIKE NO OTHER
Choirs from parishes within Lagos and beyond, Rifnote observed,left the audience asking for more as they were wowed by the stagecraft of the performers.For many,it was a night to remember.
