Furious Erik ten Hag 'cancelled' Man Utd day off after Brentford humiliation

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly cancelled the Red Devils’ day off after their drubbing at the hands of Brentford.

United were scheduled to have a day off on Sunday, but the Dutchman was so outraged with their performance he has said to have cancelled their day off, according to the Times. Ten Hag ordered the under-firing side to report to Carrington on Sunday for an extra training session.

Brentford blew United away in a whirlwind 35 minutes that saw David de Gea pick the ball out of his net four times. And the Red Devils were hapless to stop the Bess as they slumped to the bottom of the table.

Ten Hag fumed after the game: “They are good players, and have to take responsibility on the pitch, as a team and as individuals, and that’s what we didn’t do. I asked them to play with belief and take responsibility for their performance, and that’s what they didn’t do.
