‘Watch out, Arteta’: Mikel urged to avoid mistake that cost Hansi Flick Germany job

VIA TRIBUNA:

The sacking of Germany’s coach Hansi Flick is a huge warning for Mikel Arteta: this idea is doing rounds on social media after Germany were thrashed 4-1 by Japan in a friendly and Flick lost his job.

Many fans believe the main reason is Flick had too much trust in Kai Havertz. At least four managers the Arsenal man used to play under were axed.

Simon Madowa: “Lampard didn’t drop Havertz – sacked. Tuchel didn’t drop Havertz – sacked. Potter didn’t drop Havertz – sacked. Bruno [Saltor] didn’t drop Havertz – lasted 1 day. Hansi Flick didn’t drop Havertz – sacked. Now Arteta is doing the same, we know what’s coming.”

ferret70: “How many of Kai Havertz’s managers have been replaced in the last year and a bit? Four or five? I’ve lost count. Watch out, Arteta.”

Passivscroller: “The managers who have lost their jobs in the past 12 months due to Kai Havertz playing striker for them: Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Hansi Flick.”

Pochett1noOut: “Lampard, Tuchel, Low, Flick, all sacked by Havertz. But I’m supposed to believe that Pep’s assistant manager will unlock him.”

Soli-Man Kenobi: “The amount of managers that got screwed because of Havertz is enormous. Lampard, Tuchel, Graham Potter, and now Hansi Flick! Arteta should brace himself.”

MrPenderes: “It’s 2023 and an out-of-sort Kai Havertz is still being called up to the national team, and you expect your career to be safe?”

A lot of Gooners would perhaps agree that Kai hasn’t been the kind of player he was at Bayer Leverkusen. However, Arteta has full trust in him and believes the German will adapt to Arsenal’s standards, plus we have a well-packed squad that doesn’t depend on one player’s form.
