In a post-match interview with Mundo Deportivo, Aguero emphasized that Yamal, despite his youth and limited experience, possesses a rare and refined skillset. “In style of play and talent, Lamine has much more than Vinicius,” Aguero remarked, adding that while Vinicius boasts a stellar track record with Madrid, Yamal’s potential is unmatched at this stage. “Vinicius is one of the top three players in the world right now, but for age and sheer ability, I’d go with Lamine.”
The comments follow Yamal’s rapid rise from La Masia graduate to senior squad regular. Since debuting for Barcelona’s senior team in April 2023, the youngster has racked up an impressive 13 goals and 16 assists in 65 appearances across competitions, marking him as one of the most promising players in Europe.
Aguero suggested that a dream team could feature both players, noting that pairing Yamal and Vinicius would have the same explosive potential as the legendary duo of Lionel Messi and Neymar during their time at Barcelona.
