Man City 'rejected' Deadline Day move for Neymar after Kylian Mbappe demand

Paris Saint-Germain tried to oust Neymar out of the club on Deadline Day to appease Kylian Mbappe, according to sensational reports.

The Brazilian was offered to Manchester City, reports Marca, but the Premier League champions had no intention of signing the forward. A move was emphatically rejected with City happy with their current options.

But it further indicates the level of power that Mbappe has at the Parc des Princes following his decision to renew his contract this summer despite heavy interest from Real Madrid. And it adds more fuel to the fire that there is a fractured squad, particularly up front.

Lionel Messi and Neymar are close pals and it was down to the Brazil international why the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner rocked up in Paris in the first place. But there have already been numerous incidents that suggests all is not well in the PSG camp.

And it appears to have come to a head this Deadline Day with Mbappe telling club chiefs that he wanted to see Neymar leave, it is reported. Fearing an ego clash, PSG bosses obliged by offering their £200million man out across Europe only to be rebuffed, it is claimed.
