Angry Everton fans fly plane and banner over Goodison Park after kick off

A plane carrying a message saying “League’s worst run club #TimeToGoBill ” flew over Goodison Park before Everton’s clash against Arsenal.

Hundreds of Everton fans turned up at Goodison Park armed with even more banners and many more signs. The Toffees’ fan base have been at odds with their board of directors for the best part of 18 months, yet their anger has reached new levels.

While Sean Dyche’s appointment as manager has been greeted relatively well, the Merseysiders sold Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United for £42million and failed to bring in a single new signing in the January transfer window. To demonstrate their anger and frustration, Everton supporters arranged a plane to be flown over Goodison Park, demanding the resignation of chairman Bill Kenwright.

Having been chairman of the club since 2004, Everton fans have directed most of their anger at the 77-year-old. The Toffees’ are currently residing in 19th position in the Premier League after a catastrophic run of results.
