PSG submit offer for Rasmus Hojlund but Atalanta star prefers Manchester United switch

Paris Saint-Germain have submitted a bid £43million for Manchester United target Rasmus Hojlund.

However, talkSPORT understands Hojlund prefers a move to Old Trafford over the French champions.

The offer is less lucrative than the £51m plus add-ons offer from United but neither bid has met Atalanta’s £60m valuation of the player.

PSG are in the market for a new number nine as they face up to the possibility of losing talismanic forward Kylian Mbappe this summer.

New boss Luis Enrique hopes to bolster his forward line before the end of the transfer window.

But United are in advanced talks with the Denmark international who favours a move to the Premier League.

Signing Hojlund would likely be the final piece of the jigsaw for boss Erik ten Hag ahead of the new Premier League season.

Ten Hag has already wrapped up the signing of Mason Mount and Andre Onana as the Red Devils look to improve on last season’s third-placed finish.

If United can lure Hojlund to Old Trafford it would help take the goalscoring burden off Marcus Rashford.

The England international who recently penned a new five-year deal at Old Trafford, netted 30 goals last term but was heavily relied on due to the ongoing injury problems surrounding Anthony Martial.
