The latest episode of Real Time With Bill Maher saw former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo weigh in on the legal trial of Donald Trump for hush money payments made during his presidential campaign. Cuomo, who served as the state’s Attorney General before becoming governor, agreed with host Bill Maher that the trial was a “greatest fundraising bonanza” for Trump, helping him to overtake Biden in the fundraising race.
Cuomo made the argument that the New York trial should never have been pursued in the first place, as it only served to bolster Trump’s position and provide an opportunity for him to rally his supporters and raise funds.
